The BMW i3 is already the best selling electric car in Spain

Last February were sold in Spain 22 electric cars, 83.3% more than in the same month of 2013, and 12 of them were BMW i3, the model leads the Spanish market in 2014. Registrations of hybrid cars instead, fell 13% in February and the Toyota Auris was again the one that had more acceptance, according to Anfac, the National Association of Manufacturers.



Although the government still has published the announced aid for the purchase of electric vehicles (no changes are expected against subsidies 2013), sales in February were up 83%. But start with a testimonial figures (12 units in February 2013), registrations remain symbolic: 22 units in February 2014. Still, struck by the change in leadership, because the BMW i3 dominates sales since leaving 12 units in February and 14 in January totaling 26 in all.

The following, from a distance, is the Smart Fortwo ED, with six registrations in February (six in total 2014), followed by the Nissan Leaf with three (six) and the Tesla Model S with a (four). The latest model that has been released is the Renault Zoé, a unit in January.
As regards other unconventional electric vehicles, Renault has also sold in units Twizy February 6, the quad battery, which adds 18 where this year. Instead, it has not registered any Kangoo ZE this month (or Fluence ZE) after deliver four in January. There are also no orders extended-range electric Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera.
Toyota Auris Hybrid

Hybrid models registrations were down 13% in Spain last month, a figure that contrasts with the rise of 17.8% of the Spanish car market. The Toyota Auris HSD maintained its dominance with 269 units in February and 672 so far this year, followed by Toyota Yaris Hybrid 130 (245 in 2014), who beat his brother Prius with 109 (229), of which 13 corresponded to the Prius + (MPV) version and no to PHEV or plug-in Hybrid.
After three Toyota have placed four Lexus, the luxury sister brand: the new IS 300h with 63 (173), the CT 200h 45 (87), the RX 450h SUV with 29 (69) and GS sedans (300h and 450h) with 10 total (27). And behind them, albeit with minimal figures, models of other brands place, led by the new Volvo V60 PHEV seven (15), the Peugeot 508 Hybrid 4 first hybrid turbo, six (seven in total), and Mercedes E300 Hybrid with four (seven) and Honda Jazz Hybrid, also with four (six in the cumulative).
Finally, three units of Mercedes S400 Hybrid (six), two of the Citroën DS5 Hybrid4 (six) and the Audi Q5 Hybrid (three), 335 BMW Active Hybrid (two), Lexus LS 600h (two) and Peugeot were enrolled 3008 Hybrid4 (three).
