CADILLAC ATS-V

Across the Atlantic, against BMW Motorsport and Mercedes-AMG is organized with the Cadillac ATS-V and V6 biturbo.

After being unveiled in its racing version, the Cadillac ATS-V back again thanks to the production model, recently unveiled in the Hall of Los Angeles. It proposed in sedan and coupe, shown aesthetically very close to the current CTS-V, even if the dual center exhaust outlet makes room for two more traditional outlets.

But contrary to his older brother, who in fact will be renewed next year, the ATS-V, newly included in the catalog, no houses a large V8 Corvette ZR1 just not a V8. Indeed, for "small" model, which has a length of 4.69 m and 4.67 m coupe in sedan, Cadillac has chosen a 3.6 V6 twin-turbo 461 hp and 603 Nm, mated to a box choice 6-speed manual or automatic 8-speed. A mechanical placing the ATS-V halfway between the duo BMW M3 / M4 (431 hp, 550 Nm) and the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 in its less powerful version (476 hp, 650 Nm). The weight has not been announced, but the 0-60 mph (97 km / h) was beaten by 3.9 seconds. By comparison, is both a Mercedes-AMG C 63 S, with a force of 510 hp and 700 Nm.

The vehicle has 18-inch wheels and rests on a magnetic suspension (MacPherson at the front, multi-bras in back). Note that besides being slightly longer than the sedan, the coupe is also wider than three inches (1.84 m versus 1.81).

The production of the Cadillac ATS-V will be marketed from across the pond in the spring of 2015, and it is possible that this American vehicle landing in Europe through the official network of the brand.
